TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Master teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching World History in New York City High School classrooms. All lesson handouts are designed for a 90 minute block period but can be modified for 45 minute class periods. If you don't see something you need, please ask. I'm sure I have it available.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the philosophy of depth rather than breadth when learning and teaching history. Lesson handouts are designed around student-centered discussions such asSocratic Seminars and Harkness Roundtable Discussions. Many lessons include document-based activities that facilitate discussion and writing. Heavy emphasis on literacy skills is reflected in every lesson handout.
