Photomicrography Art Project
I created this art lesson to accompany an introduction to the microscope. You do not need a microscope to do this project. This is a tried and true favorite, and the students love learning about photomicrography and creating their art. These turn out fantastic, and you need few supplies. You can be flexible on the art materials you use, but I used watercolor pencils and sharpies. Students will need access to a computer. This will take about 3 to 4 class periods to complete.

This is a 2 to 3 week lesson I use with my gifted students. They create Fantasy Maps and write about them. This is one of my most successful lessons. I have used it for Gifted art and intellectually gifted. The students love creating these. This is a complete power point that explains everything and gives examples.
