We love to practice counting, making, and decomposing teen numbers by creating ‘teen number people.’ There are two versions of this craft that will allow your students to count their teen number using base ten blocks, drawings/pictures, ten frames, tally marks, and equations. This resource is great for teachers to use when teaching students how to round to the nearest 10. Sometimes music is a great way to teach students hard concepts in math. With two easy tunes that ANY teacher can sing-Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and If You're Happy and You Know it, students can use these songs to remember how to round to the nearest 10. Perfect also for Early Intervention teachers and Special Education teachers. Can also be used as a review concept for students in grades 4-5.
