Moroccan Border Calendar Questions
Are you wanting to really increase your students' exposure to the Target Language? Why not label your calendar with these essential questions?! I quickly review each of these questions daily with all of my classes. It helps them warm-up their brains for Spanish class and I don't have to spend a ton of time teaching it during other units. Finger Checks / Montrez-moi les mains
This is a super flexible and quick strategy for using as a quick formative assessment. I use it in foreign language classes, but it has countless applications. Students hold up fingers representing how much they understand, and teacher checks in briefly with each of them to see how the comprehension level is. Takes about 90 seconds to go around a class of 25 students and gives sort of a "barometer" of who is getting how much.

Exit Ticket "Tweets"
This is a template that can be used as an exit ticket for students of any grade and age group. I have an "@_________" line that is for students to either write their real names or they can come up with a nickname. The other line is for the "fecha" or date. I used this for students to answer a question at the end of the day. I would tell them to "Twitéame" and post a question on the board. American Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish
I use this in the classroom on a daily basis. It is a fun way for the students to get excited about the Spanish language. In the past I have also decreased the size of this and printed it out for each student to glue on the back of a flag that they make. There are many ways to use this pledge!

These signs have "inglés" on one side and "español" on the other. Hang them in your classroom when you and your students can speak in English or when you and your students should be speaking in Spanish. This has helped me and my students increase the use of the target language in our classroom. I have it double-sided and laminated and hang it on the whiteboard. I simply flip it when necessary.

This is an interactive oral practice for beginners in French. Students listen to simple sentences using classroom vocabulary and then repeat them.
