Cribbage is a great game for students to learn to help with math skills, problem solving, and community. I use this slide show to teach my 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders how to play cribbage. It works especially well for small group GT, but can be used with the whole class as well. The key is to break it down into easier steps since it can be a complicated game. This lesson breaks it all down for you (I recommend teaching it in 4 separate lessons with practice in between). Practice hands are included

This bingo game is designed for a small math group. Once the children learn how to use it there are a number of bingo games in my store that are the same format for ease of learning. Coin Values: Counting by Sight and Touch

This is a fun project for helping students learn the value of coins. My students enjoyed sliding their fingers from the coin to the end of the ribbon or string while counting the number of attachments to the coin which in turn, helped them learn the value of different coins. Other variations such as tracing each line with finger paint or placing bead on the end of each string can also be fun.

Simply print on cardstock, laminate, cut, and allow for kids to play the Snake Card Game to assist with operations.
