This is a fantastic PowerPoint that walks through Input/Output tables. There are 15 different example tables that students will be engaged in completing. 10 of them students are asked to find the rules, 3 students are asked to find the missing outputs, and the last 2 students are asked to find the missing inputs. I have used this with grades 1 - 3 Everyday Math lessons and their (algebraic) function machine. In/Out numbers are listed in the familiar table next to an interesting machine. There are animations on each slide and there are 15 slides of varying difficulty included. All the operations are either addition or subtraction, though you could easily edit to meet your needs.
