Project Based Learning- Wedding Cookie Table Planning (Multiplication)
Students will pretend they are wedding planners and help the bride and groom plan for their wedding cookie table. Read about the Pittsburgh-based tradition within the project and use websites of local bakeries to develop price quotes for the client. Students must use multiplication and online tools to complete this activity.

Math Real World New Year Project
Think about eight special numbers from 2014 that were important to you in some way.
Examples:
*number of teeth you lost in 2014
*number of friends you made in 2014,
*number on the favorite jersey you got in 2014, and so much more!!
For each special number, I want you to write why it is special, and then use your number in a subtraction equation. Your special number may be an addend, or the difference. Please include at least four 2-digit numbers.
