FREE! PowerPoint using pictures of flash cards. Students follow guided instruction writing the denominator FIRST, then the numerator. After the fraction has been written, the student says the fraction. Writing the denominator focuses the students' attention on the number of equal parts being a combination of the parts chosen AND not chosen, ALL the equal parts. The PowerPoint has animations which show denominator written first, then numerator. The written form of the fraction is given last.
