Allow your students to compare and contrast the characteristics of some of the major biomes by reading and sorting cards. Each set of characteristic cards are colour coded.

Modifying the Environment Activity
This is a review and create-your-own breaking news on human modification of the environment. Students review pros and cons of various environmental modifications, and then do the creative piece! Answer keys and a rubric is included! Students can work in a group for the review or teachers can lead the class through the review. My students enjoyed this and loved the creative piece!
