Minecraft Surface Area and Nets
Minecraft is all many of the kids think about....So, why not bring it into math class. Minecraft paper craft are nets that build the various Minecraft characters (they sell them in the scholastic book orders). In this SMART presentation, the students build a paper craft creeper to learn about rectangular prisms and nets. Then, the idea of surface area is introduced. My students LOVE this lesson!
