In my classroom I use this in conjunction with the Tree Study and we talk about fruits that do and do not grow on trees. I print and laminate the cards and they can be used year after year. Fun with shapes and playdoh

This is a fun activity to do with small children. With the playdoh, they have to make the shape and place it inside the shape. This promotes and increases fine motor skills and manipulation. If you feel the playdoh is too easy or simply want to change the activity, allow the child to make a shape within the lines of the shape, without any deviation. This is a Powerpoint that I create for when we teach letter formation with the program Handwriting Without Tears. The letters go in the order that the book suggests. The capital letters are first and then the lowercase letters. My students will have the Handwriting Without Tears workbook that they will be working in, but you do not have to have it. Students can also use plain lined paper. The first few slides go over correct pencil grip, talks about starting letters at the top, and the hand sign
