Eggs in a Basket Letter Matching

This no-prep cute cut and paste activity is great for practicing letter identification. Each basket has the uppercase letter on it and the eggs have the lowercase letters. The student cuts and pastes the correct egg with its basket. This can also be used as a center. Simply laminate the eggs and baskets, cut out and glue to folders. Students can work individually or in pairs to match the eggs with the baskets. Includes all 26 letters on 7 pages.

I began by reading Martha Brenner's 'Abe Lincoln's Hat' and then asked the students what important things they would want to keep in a tall hat like Lincoln's.
