In this short article, students will learn the history of Halloween and Trick-or-Treating. After the article, students will answer 8 questions about the article. Please feel free to add questions to this or change questions as you see fit! This is a good overview of how trick-or-treating and Halloween came to exist in America.

Eggs in a Basket Letter Matching
This no-prep cute cut and paste activity is great for practicing letter identification. Each basket has the uppercase letter on it and the eggs have the lowercase letters. The student cuts and pastes the correct egg with its basket. This can also be used as a center. Simply laminate the eggs and baskets, cut out and glue to folders. Students can work individually or in pairs to match the eggs with the baskets. Includes all 26 letters on 7 pages.

This is a Christmas themed write the room. Just print the cards, laminate them, and hang them around the room. Then, give your students the recording sheet and a clipboard and have them find all of the pictures on the sheet and record the sight word on the card. You will be amazed how on task they will be! Abe Lincoln's Hat
Kindergarten theme activity for unit on Presidents. I began by reading Martha Brenner's 'Abe Lincoln's Hat' and then asked the students what important things they would want to keep in a tall hat like Lincoln's. The students wrote a sentence about what they would keep and drew an illustration on the inside of the image of the hat.

December Calendar Number Cards
In this pack is a collection of calendar pieces for the month of december. They are blue with white numbers and different colored christmas trees. These could be printed out on a thicker cardstock and laminated for a permanent use. Also, I have included a "Merry Christmas" card and several birthday cards.
