Fraction Division PowerPoint Activity- free version
This presentation shows a conceptual way to introduce or review dividing whole numbers by a fraction. It provides visual examples and an opportunity for students to draw representations and practice on a SMART Board or in a math notebook. Students can see visually what it means to divide by fractions.
If you view the PowerPoint as a show, the animations will bring the ideas up one at a time to facilitate modeling and classroom discussion about the examples.

Fraction Flash Card PowerPoint

PowerPoint using pictures of flash cards. Students follow guided instruction writing the denominator FIRST, then the numerator. After the fraction has been written, the student says the fraction.
Writing the denominator focuses the students' attention on the number of equal parts being a combination of the parts chosen AND not chosen, ALL the equal parts.
The PowerPoint has animations which show denominator written first, then numerator. The written form of the fraction is given last.
