This is an activity I used with my higher level 5th graders and they loved it! In this digital escape students are trying to escape from Antarctica. Students are given a link to a Google Site OR Google Form (you choose) I created and then they must solve a series of 5 tasks- 3 multi-step problems, 1 logic puzzle, and 1 decimal magic square. Now updated to include a Google Form option! I used this with my 5th grade math class to conclude our unit on customary measurement and they loved it! The problems are similar to extended response questions they might see on a state-test, but my students didn't even realize it!
