BeeBot Coding: Place Value - Standard, Expanded, and Word Form
As students look for "other ways" to represent a given number, they are mastering place value vocabulary like tens place, ones place, standard form, expanded form, and word form. Each problem provides students with an opportunity to code the Bee-Bot. Coding increases engagement and promotes problem solving skills. QR Code Number Bingo
My students LOVE QR codes! Plus, if you turn anything to a BINGO game, they are in! This is the perfect game for students who can listen to a number and recognize it!
Students will scan the QR Code, listen to the number, then place their bingo marker on the number they hear. When they get a bingo, they win! I then challenge my students to cover their whole board.
You can also play this as a whole group game, without the QR Codes. There are 20 different game boards.
