Purpose: Helps students understand the value of each digit in a number depending on its position. Place Names (Right to Left): Ones (1s): Single units. Tens (10s): 10 ones make 1 ten. Hundreds (100s): 10 tens make 1 hundred. Thousands (1,000s): 10 hundreds make 1 thousand. Ten-Thousands (10,000s): 10 thousands make 1 ten-thousand.

This chart is used to give each team member a role when answering a team question. I have 4 different charts for teams of 4 members, 5, 6, and 7. I put each chart in a plastic sheet protector and clip it to a clipboard for the team captain. I number each desk with a number. Team captain in #1, co-captain #2, etc. The roles change weekly.
