Staff Development-Parent Literacy Night
I am the Language Arts Department head at my high school and was asked to coordinate a Parent Literacy Night there. I developed this power point presentation for the key note address of this Parent Literacy Night. I spent hours developing it and, it is a compilation of a variety of resources and it seemed to be quite effective. I think it will make your life easier if you are doing a similar event or even conducting a training encouraging parents to read to their children.
