This worksheet works well for second grade science. Students are given a list of substances/objects and have to sort them into boxes labelled with the three states of matter- liquid, solid, and gas. Examples of substances/objects include toothpaste, pencils, air, etc. The worksheet also includes a question about how objects/substances can change between states. Works as a pre-assessment at the start of a Unit on matter, or as homework!
