This is a pre-quiz used to check the understanding of student's use of Google Documents. It is a self guided assignment that can be used at any point during a Google Docs curriculum. Students must have Gmail accounts to complete this assignment. I'd recommend giving this in the midway point of a curriculum dealing with Google Documents. I have plenty more where this freebie came from! If you like this one, check out the Google evaluation I also have on my page.

A list of foods that students would normally eat are given for students to think about what came from a farm to produce the food on their table. This activity helps to increase agricultural literacy and spark discussion about the work that farmers do to feed the world.

This is an editable rubric for student anchorpersons (video announcements/school news production). My students create a vodcast of the morning announcements every day, and I use this rubric to assess their skills. This is editable for a reason! You can add your own lines, delete mine, or just change the phrasing. You can also remove the grading and points portion and just use as a formative assessment to be handed back the student immediately after the recording.
