My Planet-Galaxy Project
Students create their own planet, and additionally as part of this project, create names for their planet's galaxy, constellations, moons, etc. in order to demonstrate mastery of various space terms as outlined in the resource, and as I explain in the video. My gifted class loved this, although I would and could do this with any class.

Clay Mask Project Video 3/3
This video shows how to avoid pitfalls in finalizing the clay mask. It features examples of projects that are smooth and not smooth, holes that are not large enough for string to fit through and also the importance of the "wiggle test" to prevent pieces from falling off.

Pirate Portfolio
Here are the directions to my Pirate Portfolio project which involves 6 different activities as creating a pirate shanty, a pirate bio, pirate map, a pirate ship, pirate nicknames, and even pirate rules. There is also a page with a complete grading sheet for all parts of each of the 6 activities. Needless to say, this is a really fun and engaging project. Fun for gifted and general population students.

This video models the pinch pot and coil technique to create a clay cupcake. This project is part of a Wayne Thiebaud inspired unit which is available in a bundle in my store. Students really enjoy this project. I use Laguna EM330 clay but I imagine air dry clay would work too.
