This document was created to be able to collect data, track progress, and see student growth through the Reading Horizons program. There is one spreadsheet for each of the 6 Chapters. Each spreadsheet has 28 spaces for student names. Across the top of the spreadsheet are the reading skill, lesson number, and point value. The green columns are for the pre-test (formative) score. Fun with shapes and playdoh

This is a fun activity to do with small children. With the playdoh, they have to make the shape and place it inside the shape. This promotes and increases fine motor skills and manipulation. If you feel the playdoh is too easy or simply want to change the activity, allow the child to make a shape within the lines of the shape, without any deviation. This activity also promotes visual motor integration, which in the long run helps with their handwriting skills. Materials: Crayons and Playdoh
