This is a general spelling test graph template. It can be altered to increase or decrease spelling words. It can be used as a line or bar graph to help monitor spelling test grades throughout the year. Graph holds up to 20 spaces for spelling test scores. This helps parents see improvement in grades as the year progresses and gives students an immediate sense of achievement.

There are a total of 13 chapters in this book. I choose to split the read aloud into 2 weeks. Chapters 1-6 were read in week 1. Chapters 7-13 were read in week 2. At the end of each week students were given a vocabulary quiz on the chapters that were read and discussed. We practiced the vocabulary words throughout the week.
