I use this page at Math Night. My kindergarten families complete it together, but first and second graders could complete it independently at the beginning of the year as a "getting to know you" activity. It helps students see they use numbers ALL the time!
Students write numbers to show their age, their phone number, their house number, their birthday, and the number of people in their family. They even get to write an addition sentence to show how many boys and girls are in their family.
