This daily chart that I have created allows teachers to communicate with parents about their child's daily behavior whether acceptable or unacceptable. On this chart there is only a happy face and a sad face because if a child receives a red face, I would always put something positive(acceptable code) so that the parent can see that although their child performed unacceptable behavior that day, they also had positive moments as well. Use this simple machine organizer and allow students to look in and around the school grounds to locate simple machines. The chart has an illustration of each machine as well as a place for students to draw or write down objects which include the 6 simple machines.

I use this form with my children to record the lessons they have practiced, as well as to gain experience with charts and data collecting. Students also learn how to calculate averages.
