Choice Boards and Rubrics: the next level -- plus bonus rainforest unit
Trying to push all students into deeper thinking? Need to differentiate for highly capable students? Looking for ways to pull that small guided group?
Recently, I have been frustrated by the choice boards available that seem to focus mostly on “activities” (see my blog on activities at sarahsteachingpointblog.blogspot.com) or various multiple intelligences, but not deeper levels of thinking. Students will be re-designing a cereal box to illustrate a biome on Earth. They will be working individually to create these representations. All work will be completed in class. Students will need to provide any additional art supplies they want to use in addition to those in class.
