Early intervention for Selective Mutism is crucial. Left untreated, children may come to view themselves as 'people who don't speak,' reinforcing this perception in others. This page can be printed out and given to students as a year-long resource that they can keep with them, either in resource binders or bins (whatever way you store kids' resources). I would suggest that if you are using this as a year-long resource, print it on either cardstock or laminate them because we all know that a piece of paper won't hold up all year and you don't want to be making a million copies when kids tear them or they get spilled on or whatever could happen.
