YARC (York Assessment of Reading for Comprehension) is a comprehensive assessment of students' reading ability. Although the test provides insightful understanding of students' strengths and weaknesses, the test alone takes some 40 minutes to complete (one on one). Marking will take an additional 20 minutes per paper and YARC's own online reporting tool has proven difficult to use and does not provide specific data. Fast and easy 2 page form with two versions. I print them in bulk front and back so I just have one page case history forms I can give to parents or send home. Lots of check boxes because I've found that people who would otherwise entirely skip a question will often at least check a box. It's also easier for you if you're doing a phone intake.
