This Refocusing Log can be used throughout the day on a clipboard to track the number of times a student or students needs refocusing during the day. This form allows for tracking of refocuses, intervals of time, subject area, time of day, and work completion. This form can follow the student(s) with them to recess, lunch, pull-out instruction, and special areas. This is a great way to gather data for meetings and conferences.

The Respect Card system is a great way to reward good conduct! Students earn the respect card early in the year, and are given certain privileges (teacher's discretion). This puts the focus on the positive behavior. Cards are worn on a lanyard or yarn around the neck, and a contract is posted in the classroom. Students develop leadership skills, work toward a goal, and become responsible for their own behavior. It made a difference in my classroom!
