This participation rubric for ANY world language classroom assesses students in four areas (target language, participation, listening, accountability). Students can self-reflect first prior to the final teacher grade. Self-reflective for students - they can circle where they feel their performance has been. I, as the teacher will read their responses and if I agree, that is the grade they will get. Some students are too hard on themselves, while others are too easy. However, this does allow
