This simple lab is a great way for students to brush up their basic science skills. It is perfect for the start of the year, but can also be used mid or at the end of the year as a refreshers or a way to prepare for a final exam. This lab allows students to use common materials so you do not have to worry about spending a full prep period setting up supplies. This lab works best when students have access to a device because it references making a graph and pasting the image of it in the space

This lab requires flexible tailor tapes. One per each group of two. Explores our symmetry and there is an additional couple date pages and deeper analysis (girls vs boys etc)... can get quite into data, averages and match etc, Kids really like this one. Most of my activities are in DOC, ODT, ODP formats. Word and also Open Office (free) and Google docs (free) can open them, allowing you to edit and customize.

The purpose of this laboratory is mainly for students to observe how empirical probability approaches the theoretical probability as the sample size increases (the Law of Large Numbers). Along the way, they will practice deriving simple formulae for the probability of an event and calculating empirical probability. The probabilities will form a geometric sequence. Students will get an opportunity to apply their knowledge of geometric sequences. The bonus questions are optional and extend the
