Many of the jokes were written with an adult audience in mind, so it would be more appropriate for a setting with adults and their children than a classroom setting. This reader's theater was written for 3 students. It was written for students who are on a 1st grade reading level. In the sript, there is a fly in Sally’s soup. This document contains a Reader's Theater Script for the story, "Last One in Is a Rotten Egg!" by Diane deGroat. The script is set up to have twenty narrators that have three speaking parts each. Plus there are four or five characters from the story that have speaking parts. The script could easily be adapted for larger or smaller class sizes! Reader's theater is a fun way to build reading fluency and confidence in students!
