It takes place in the 1960’s when NASA was preparing to send men to the moon for the first time and took them out to the Navajo Reservation because the terrain was similar in appearance to the moon’s. This one is designed to use as an intervention tool for students who are struggling with improper fractions and mixed numbers. It is one way I can mix language arts with math.
