This standards-aligned classroom play shows how we can piece together the past through the social sciences. The Time Traveling Scholars has us visit a historian, an archaeologist, an economist, and a geologist to get their unique perspective and insights in various ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Rome, Egypt, Greece, and the Indus Valley. This is a good short activity for the beginning of the year to introduce students to the various methods used to help us understand the past.
