This hands on research, writing and building unit guides students to explore how goods and products were produced in the 1700s and compare to those same goods today or the evolution of a given product. In addition to research, students will write a short report, build a 3-dimensional model to become part of a colonial village, create a visual sign for their shop, and participate in a whole-class trading game within the village. Included are teacher instructions, printables and a quiz.
