This is the pre-reading activity described in my TikTok and Instagram video from August 25 (over 2 million views on TikTok as of this posting on Aug 27) Please watch it for a thorough explanation of the activity. Basically, it is a way to increase students' interest in the novel The Things They Carried before the reading and analysis begin. This will take one class period, but give yourself time to print and organize the materials a few days ahead of time.

I designed this simple Google Form for a Physics electric charge virtual experiment. It uses a simulation to mimic positive and negative charges on an aluminum can. I used this as an introductory activity for the electrostatics portion of the chapter during distance learning. It would also be appropriate for a Physical Science class.

Students role play visitors to a low-currency market, trade goods in hand from their various professions. Will they be able to leave with what they need? Cultural simulations offer students the chance to live experiences instead of just reading about them. Problem solving and critical thinking are a big part of this work. This material is released as free to evaluate. If you appreciate it, please return and purchase a supporter pack.

I had to create this on the fly when the flash animation simulation I've been using for YEARS quit working on our student computers. This is a quick DNA simulation where students work from a single strand of DNA to fill in the complimentary DNA, mRNA, tRNA and subsequent Amino Acid to create the gene for Cystic Fibrosis. This product is made in Google Slides. Students will type in the bases that match each codon. There is an amino acid table included. I use this simulation with my Basic Biotech
