Cookie Mining Lab - Print and Go!

This lab simulates the impact of mining on the geosphere; I use this to accompany our exploration of NGSS standard MS-ESS-3-4, and how the increase of people demand more minerals and other materials from mining. Through this lab, students can simulate the human impact on the land and how different tools cause different levels of destruction. Easy setup, easy (and yummy!) materials, and very engaging for students!
