Even when students can correctly calculate interest, I find they often don't quite understand what it is or how it is used in real life. This webquest has students investigate interest rates for different scenarios they will encounter in the future (car loans/student loans/savings accounts/etc.). I have used this with my Personal Financial Mathematics classes for several years. Students search online for a credit card, then they must look at the terms and conditions of the credit card and answer the questions.
