A little tougher than the first Polynomial Division Quiz as the answers are a little tougher to get and I sometimes give this as a non-calculator quiz to make it even tougher.
The problems and activities within this document are designed to assist students in achieving the following standards: HSF.IF.B.4 & HSF.IF.C.7.C, as well as the standards for mathematics practice and the literacy standards. They are also designed to help the teacher assess the students’ abilities when it comes to working with the ideas within the standards.
This document contains the following related to polynomial end behavior:
- guided notes and practice problems
- homework, with solution k
Quiz on vocabulary related to finding conjugate radicals that also requires students to fill out a t-chart on finding and using a conjugate to rationalize a fraction with a radical in the denominator. At the end of the quiz, there are two factoring review problems. This would also be a great HW assignment after you teach rationalizing!
An activity where students will add and subtract polynomials and multiply binomials only (not larger polynomials). They will cut out the "domino" pieces, gluing the answer to the problem next to the question, moving on to the question connected to the answer next. Students will add/subtract/multiply for 5 problems total. Was a great, quick, self-checking review for my students to do before a quiz!
This is a short assessment that requires students to add, subtract, and multiply complex numbers. They will also graph complex numbers in a plane as well as simplify i raised to different powers.
Notes and homework over all of these topics are available for purchase in my store.
Enjoy!
A fun, interactive activity to review vocabulary words! Directions: One student should be standing with their back towards the board. They are not allowed to turn around to see the word that is projected on the board. All other students try to explain the word on the board without using the word itself within their clues. The teacher clicks through the vocabulary words, one at a time, once the student has correctly identified the word on the board. This game can be used as a whole-class review acti

Meant to be done during Unit 1 of Algebra 2. 20 questions including tables, graphs, equations, and word problems, students are asked to sort into Linear, Quadratic, Cubic, Exponential, Absolute Value, or OTHER. Editable Word Document
This quiz requires students to define the polynomial remainder theorem, then determine if 4 given binomials are factors of a given expression by using 2 methods. The idea here is that students will use the remainder theorem as one method, then support their work in the second column with either synthetic or long division. This quiz ensures students have a working understanding of polynomial division, what it means for a binomial to be a factor of an expression, and the remainder theorem.

This quiz has students completing the square, using the quadratic formula, graphing the exponential function and stating the y-intercept, domain, and range, and determine if data displays exponential behavior. No answer key.
