This project directs students to use math in career-oriented tasks covering multiple standards. Students may use provided sample data for a theoretical redesign of a community park or the class may partner with the local parks department to collect real data for an authentic experience. There are multiple opportunities for cross-curricular collaboration through this project. Students will see how math is used in everyday careers to design and build the world we live in.
