This 4 page guided notes is designed for precalculs/alg. II. The idea is that students explore various power functions and summarize how "k" influences the graph, and how "a" influences the graph. I have used this with my students, and the organizational chart on page 3 really helps bring the idea together. I have attached a completed copy of the notes, so you can see what the end product is (I think it helps to see what I was thinking when I created these notes).
