The Turtle, the Hare, and the Writing Contest - Small Group Readers' Theater

This Reader's Theater is for three students. We use it in class around Easter but it could be used anytime! It is a twisted version of the Tortoise and the Hare. The moral of the script is that it takes more than writing a lot and writing fast to make a good paper. As you can guess, my students were the inspiration for this one. Too many feel that going fast and writing a lot will make their writing superior. In the script, Rabbit is fast at everything and likes to brag at school. Rabbit says

This Reader's Theater is for 4 - 6 students. It is a Just-So story. In the script, the Elephant’s Child is always asking questions and everyone gets tired of hearing them.
