Given the increase in screen time during virtual learning, I wanted to develop a fun activity for visual focus, attention and engagement that does not require a screen, and can also exercise the eyes. This activity was inspired by the Navajo code talkers, though rather than using words in a different language to represent letters, it uses very simple symbols to represent each letter so that kids can write and decode secret messages.
