The Real Number Rainbow: A fresh visual representation
Use this visual aid to help students visualize the relationship between rational numbers, whole numbers, natural numbers, and integers. It works perfectly because of the way the terms overlap each other. In the boxes provided, give the students numbers to write and have them do so using all of the colors from the real number rainbow that apply to that number.
This works very well when paired with Colin Dodds' song about real numbers on Youtube.
