Holiday Fun. Working with Percents solved with Proportions and Mental Shortcuts
Here is a fun PowerPoint activity with a holiday theme to use in December. In this lesson, students will be shopping for gifts, calculating sales commission, and determining the amount of weight lost by Santa! The lesson involves solving percentage problems with proportions. Next, you will be solving the same problem using mental math.
Handouts coincide with the presentation which enables the students to work along to complete the proportions and apply mental math skills.

Dividing Up the Turkey Interactive White Board Division Game
I created this game to help my kids with division. We were about to have to move on to long division and they were still having trouble using their multiplication facts to help solve simple division problems. There are both standard format and word problems included. This product is ready to go upon download. This game has a Thanksgiving theme, but could be used at any time of the year to help the kids with Division.
