Grade 6 Rational Numbers Guided Notes – Vertical Number Lines
Use this Guided Notes document, in either Google Sheets online form or printable PDF, to help teach your students how to work with vertical number lines. Vertical number lines work the same as horizontal number lines. The only thing to remember is that higher numbers are up and lower numbers are down. To show an operation like 4 - 3 = 1 on a vertical number line, draw an arrow from the starting point (4) down three spaces to the ending point (1). Vertical number lines are not that difficult
