Categories is a game where students sort twenty words into five separate sets of four words. Words in each set share a common theme. Some words fit into more than one category, so they may have to be rearranged to get exactly five sets of four words. One word has already been placed in each set. This resource includes both a paper and digital copy of each game board. There are three game boards in this sampler version. The paper copy is excellent for students to work on individually or as a clas

I chose questions that I felt could help teachers who may not have experience in dealing with students’ needs. The checklist is to help identify red flags for students who may need some support with their affective needs.

Digital Grade Check for High School - All Periods

I've used this online grade check form in AVID (as a Google Doc), usually at the end of a grading period, and found it helpful in identifying where students may need support. It's also a good reflection activity, as it asks them to consider their effort and habits when it comes to each class. I make sure to set it up as a support activity so they can feel comfortable in telling me how they're doing.

One way to do this is through push-in or co-teaching support from a learning support teacher. There are several co-teac
