In this "mini e lab" students get to take notes on the different magnifications of the lenses and then get to explore how to use the microscope. All you need is a prepared slide with newspaper cut out of the letter "e". I used this as an introductory lesson for students to explore the microscope. They will learn that if you place a slide in, it will look upside down through the microscope. They will see how the magnification of an object (in this case the letter e) increases as you change object
