This Medians & Centroid Relationships activity provides great scaffolded practice to help students focus on the patterns present along the median! I teach it with a "stick diagram" and color-coding to help students see the patterns that are present and I emphasize the usefulness of recognizing that Medium = 2 * Short and Long = 3 * Short where short refers to centroid to midpoint, medium refers to centroid to vertex, and long refers to the entire median from vertex to midpoint.
