This fully scripted 60-minute IB DP Theory of Knowledge (TOK) lesson explores sense perception, illusion, and the idea that perception may be a construction rather than a direct recording of reality. It is built around the driving question: How much of what you experience is perception, and how much is construction? The lesson begins with The Perception Lab, where students work through seven short experiments: the Café Wall illusion, the Spinning Dancer, the Adelson checker-shadow illusion, the
