I used this as an after quiz activity to review polynomial operations and factoring. Operations include multiplication, additional and subtraction. Factoring includes unFOILing and difference of squares.
This assessment taps into student creativity and choice for solving angle of depression and arc length problems in lieu of a traditional quiz. This document provides the student directions and 7 versions of examples.
A 5 question (multiple parts per question) quiz from the book - Algebra and Trigonometry / Edition 4 by Robert F. Blitzer. Chapter 1.5 is covered in this quiz.
This MS PowerPoint presentation provides a complete and easy-to-understand solution technique for calculating the compound interest amount associated with different investment scenarios. This is a topic that is included in the Algebra 2/Math 3 curriculum. The presentation includes detailed, step-by-step calculations students can use to determine the principal amount of an investment that is increasing over time by a specified interest rate that is compounded a specified number of times each ye
This MS PowerPoint presentation provides a complete and easy-to-understand solution technique for calculating the compound interest amount associated with continuous compounding investment scenarios. This is a topic that is included in the Algebra 2/Math 3 curriculum. The presentation includes detailed, step-by-step calculations students can use to determine the principal amount of an investment that is increasing over time by a specified interest rate that is compounded continuously. This is a review for a polynomial quiz. It is a hodge podge of items - polynomial and function types, degree, end behavior, factoring to solve quadratics, rational exponents, operations, writing functions from transformations.
Great resource to review about exponential functions and its properties. It can serve as a Study Guide before the quiz/test. Engaging activity to motivate learners where students may work in groups or individually answering questions. I usually use with the mini boards before the quiz/test, engagement guaranteed.
This is a last practice for a polynomial quiz. It is a hodge podge of items - polynomial and function types, degree, end behavior, factoring to solve quadratics, rational exponents, operations, writing functions from transformations.
I wrote this worksheet after giving my students a formative assessment, and I found out that they really needed an additional day of practice before the summative assessment on rules of exponents. This practice includes most ordinary rules of exponents, scientific notation, exponential functions, and some review of modeling with linear equations.
The file includes spiral review problems.
This worksheet is intended to be written on directly.

This is the modified version of the quiz. This quiz includes finding slope by graphing and using the slope formula, all aspects of slope intercept form, parallel and perpendicular slopes and graphing linear equations. Modifications include formulas and sample problems. An answer box is provided for students write their answers. This makes for easier grading. I also have this quiz modified.
This document can be used as notes or a quiz or both! It is in the form of a graphic organizer with space to take notes over Circumcenter, Incenter, Centroid and Orthocenter. An answer key is included. Enjoy!
In my class, I used these questions as a quiz review. I displayed each questions, gave the students time to work on it and then went over it. Desmos was used.
Best for use after students are familiar with simplifying and multiplying rational expressions, this classwork packet has students work through multiplying rational expressions, dividing with integers, and then builds up to dividing and simplifying rational expressions. It is highly scaffolded and can be done as a groupwork classwork or quiz grade. Students can work through this at their own pace and without much supervision fairly easily!
Students will first begin to discover multiple ways to use percents through real-life scenarios and shopping. Then, apply what they discover to exponential growth or decay.
I used this for a review for the Polynomial Roots quiz. Student are given equations and must find all the roots (real and complex) and factors. Then they are given the roots (real and complex) and must write the polynomial in factored and standard forms.
